About Modern Savages
The company is based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Our mailing address is Modern Savages AB, Lagerströmsplatsen 2, 41647, Gothenburg, Sweden.

All transactions in the store are handled in EURO (€). Exchange rates may vary. Prices shown are inclusive of 25% VAT. The total amount, including shipping cost and the terms of payment is shown at checkout before placing the order.
Delivery within Sweden €25, to the EU €35.
Modern Savages uses PayPal as primary payment method.
Upon completed order, an order confirmation will be sent to your email address. In the confirmation you will find information about products, pricing, billing and delivery address.
If there is any error in the order confirmation, please contact me immediately by using the form on the "Contact" page.
We ship on Mondays-tuesdays. Normal delivery time within Sweden is 2-4 days. To the EU 5-7 days. Extreme Weather Notice!! When temperatures are at, or below 0° C shipping will be delayed until the temperature rises. If you live in an area where it’s subzero temperature the coming days, we recommend that you wait with ordering, contact us and arrange for delayed shipping. Likewise on rare occasions when temperatures rise above 30 C we may choose to delay shipping until the weather becomes more clement.
We primarily use UPS and DHL for shipping.
If you are unable to receive the delivery you will still be charged for the plants you have ordered, since they are considered unsellable when they return to us. We also charge a 25€ return cost fee.
You as a customer have a statutory 14-day right of return, which applies from the time you have accepted the terms of the order.
Note! No return on plants. In accordance with the Act on Distance Tradings, the customer does not have the right to return goods that can quickly deteriorate or become too old, or that after delivery might be mixed with other (plants). Your right of withdrawal therefore does not apply to green plants, flowering plants, cuttings, bulbs, tubers, garden plants and other products that can be damaged by being handled several times. The right of withdrawal also does not apply to plants and products that have a limited expiration date, are classified as fresh produce, can deteriorate quickly, become too old or have been planted after purchase. When using your right to return:
You must announce that you plan to use your right to return. The message should be sent to us using the form on the “contact” page. In the message, state your name, address, e-mail address and order number.
Please handle your return swiftly. You are responsible for return shipping, delivery and condition of the products upon return, the products should therefore be shipped well packaged.
Of the refund amount, we reserve the right to deduct a sum corresponding to the depreciation of value compared to the original value of the product for damaged products.
The complaint should be sent immediately after the defect is discovered. Take pictures.
Always contact us for approval before returning a defective item.
How do you go about complaining?
Any errors and defects should always be reported by using the form on the “contact” page where you enter your name, address, e-mail address, order number and a description of the error.
If we fail to correct the error or deliver a similar product, we will reimburse you for the defective product in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws. We take all charges for return shipping on approved complaints.
We reserve the right to deny a complaint if it turns out that the product is not in error in accordance with current consumer protection legislation. For complaints, we follow the guidelines from the Swedish General Board of Complaints, see www.arn.se
Limitation of Liability
Always keep this in mind when purchasing plants online:
When buying living plants, keep in mind that the condition of the plant may deteriorate during shipment to you. Due to careless postage handling, folding or breaking damage to leaves / stems can also occur. Unfortunately we can not control this but we do our absolute best to pack your plants in such a way that damage does not occur. Plants that arrive with cosmetic damage are therefore not reason enough to complain as long as the plant is still alive. If, contrary to expectation, the plant should have been damaged in any way by us before the order left our warehouse, we would of course try to resolve this as best we can.
We take no responsibility for any indirect damage that may result from the product. For example damage due to shipping delays or damage during shipping.
We are not responsible for any damage due to cold that may occur to living plants during delivery.
We accept no responsibility for delays / errors due to circumstances outside the Company's ruling (Force Majeure). These circumstances can be, for example, labour conflict, fire, war, government decisions, reduced or non-delivery from the supplier.
Furthermore, no liability is assumed for any changes to products / product properties that have been changed by the respective supplier and other factors beyond our control.
We reserve the right for any printing errors on this site as well as products being sold out. We do not guarantee that the images reflect the exact appearance of the products. However, we always try our best to expose the products as accurately as possible.
We reserve ourselves for errors in the names of the plants. Should you see that we have made a mistake in the naming the plant, you are welcome to contact us. Wrong name is not a reason for complaint.

We protect your personal privacy and do not collect more information than necessary to process your order, as well as when you have asked to receive newsletters or promotional offers. In the event of a dispute, I follow decisions from ARN or the corresponding dispute resolution body.
Disputes regarding the interpretation or application of these general terms and conditions shall be interpreted in accordance with Swedish law.
